Defect

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2022-2024 AC series cranes. The crane outrigger shoes may have been improperly manufactured, which can cause them to crack and fail under load, reducing the cranes stability.

Consequence

A loss of stability during operation could cause the crane to fall, increasing the risk of an injury.

Remedy

Altec will replace the outrigger shoes, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 20, 2024. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3194.
