2019 Genesis G70 problems

Verdict · NHTSA data

One of the years to avoid

The 2019 Genesis G70 carries two red flags at once: 85 consumer complaints filed with NHTSA — 5.0× the G70 norm — and an open NHTSA defect investigation (subject: Hyundai and Kia ABS Module Fires). It is one of the G70 years to avoid.

No single system dominates the record — complaints spread across fuel system (15), engine (14), and other (10), which usually points to general build quality rather than one defect.
