Remedy

REROUTE STEEL TUBE AND/OR REPLACE, AS NECESSARY.

Defect

SOME OF THE BOLTS ATTACHING THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY TO THE AXLE MAY FRACTURE WITHOUT WARNING. IF ONE OR MORE OF THESE BOLTS FRACTURE, IT MAY RESULT IN REAR BRAKE ASSEMBLY DAMAGE AND BRAKE INEFFECTIVENESS ON THE REAR AXLE.

Remedy

THE THREE LONG BOLTS IN EACH BRAKE ASSEMBLY WILL BE INSPECTED FOR A CODE NUMBER, AND BOLTS WILL BE REPLACED AT NO CHARGE TO THE OWNER.

Defect

BECAUSE THE AIR BRAKE CHAMBERS ARE LOCATED ABOVE THE REAR AXLE HOUSING, THE AIR HOSE, WHICH FITS ON TOP OF THE CHAMBERS, COULD COME IN CONTACT WITH THE UNDERSIDE OF THE BODY.

Remedy

AIR CHAMBERS WILL BE REPOSITIONED IN ORDER TO LOWER THE FITTINGS. IN ADDITION, AXLE STOPS WILL BE INSTALLED (WITH THE EXCEPTION OF VEHICLES WITH 5900 MM WHEEL BASE) IN ORDER TO ENSURE MINIMUM UPWARD TRAVEL OF THE AXLE.
