Defect

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: TRANSIT BUSES. FIVE (5) FRONT RADIUS RODS INSTALLED IN THESE BUSES HAVE FAILED.

Consequence

A FAILURE OF A FRONT RADIUS ROD COULD CAUSE A SHIFT IN THE FRONT AXLE, POSSIBLY RESULTING IN A LOSS OF VEHICLE CONTROL.

Remedy

DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE RADIUS ROD. OWNER NOTIFICATION BEGAN MARCH 1, 2001. OWNERS WHO TAKE THEIR VEHICLES TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER ON AN AGREED UPON SERVICE DATE AND DO NOT RECEIVE THE FREE REMEDY WITHIN A REASONABLE TIME SHOULD CONTACT NEW FLYER AT 1-204-982-8181.
