Defect

Ducati North America (Ducati) is recalling certain 2025-2026 Streetfighter V4, Streetfighter V4 S, Panigale V4, and Panigale V4 S motorcycles. Excessive heat may damage the rear brake hose between the ABS control unit and brake caliper, resulting in a sudden loss of the rear brakes.

Consequence

A sudden loss of rear brake function increases the risk of a crash or injury.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the thermal shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed March 9, 2026. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is SRV-RCL-26-001. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov on February 3, 2026. This recall expands and replaces previous NHTSA recall number 25V013. Vehicles repaired under the previous recall will need to have the new remedy completed.

Dealers will reinstall the thermal shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 17, 2025. Owners may contact Ducati customer service at 1-888-391-5446. Ducati's number for this recall is CR285.
