International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2026 LT and RH vehicles. The auto neutral function may not recognize that the parking brake has been applied, failing to shift the transmission into neutral.

Consequence

The transmission remaining in gear may allow the vehicle to move unexpectedly, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the quick release valve on the rear axle, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed March 9, 2026. Owners will receive another notice once remedy becomes available. Owners may contact International's customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25524. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will be searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning January 12, 2026.

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2023-2026 LT and 2024-2025 RH trucks. The Hill Start Assist (HSA) exhaust port may become clogged, delaying or preventing the release of the service brakes.

Consequence

Brakes that are still engaged while driving increase the risk of crash.

Remedy

Dealers will relocate the HSA valve exhaust, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 15, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25522.

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2025-2026 HV, HX, LT, MV, RH, and 2025 EMV vehicles. The linkage that connects the right-side wiper arm to the motor may separate, causing the wipers to fail.

Consequence

Windshield wiper failure can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the wiper module, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed June 2, 2025. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 25505.

Defect

International Motors, LLC (International) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Lonestar, 2021-2025 RH, HV, MV, LT, HX, and 2022 PROSTAR vehicles, equipped with Bendix EC80 Advanced Electronic Control Units (ECU). Electrical noise and low signal to the power line carrier may cause the ECU to incorrectly process commands or stop working.

Consequence

Safety systems that depend on the ECU (Automatic Traction Control, ABS, Electronic Stability Control, Active Cruise Control, and Collison Mitigation System) may have diminished or lost functionality, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

International will work with Bendix to reprogram the ECU software, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 16, 2024. Owners may contact International customer service at 1-800-448-7825. International's number for this recall is 24515.

Defect

Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International HX and International LT vehicles equipped with Cummins X15 diesel engines. The fuel pump barrels may fracture and cause a fuel leak, resulting in an engine stall.

Consequence

An engine stall increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Navistar will work with the equipment manufacturer, Cummins, to replace the fuel pump barrels, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 22, 2024. Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International HV, HX, LT, MV, and RH vehicles. The tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and possibly result in tie rod failure.

Consequence

Tie rod failure can cause a loss of vehicle steering control and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the tie rod end and re-align the front axle, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed September 9, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 24511.

Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International HV, LT, MV, and RH trucks. Tie rod assemblies may contain ball studs that may have been incorrectly heat-treated, which can cause them to break, and possibly result in tie rod failure.

Consequence

Tie rod failure can cause a loss of vehicle steering control and increase the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the tie rod ends and realign the front axle, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 29, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 24509.

Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International LT vehicles. Two wires in the taillight jumper harness may be reversed, causing the turn signal to activate in the opposite direction of what the driver intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, "Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."

Consequence

Turn signals that do not function as intended may confuse other road users, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy

Dealers will replace the taillight jumper harness, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 15, 2024. Owners may contact Navistar customer service at 1-800-448-7825. Navistar's number for this recall is 24506.

Defect

Navistar, Inc. (Navistar) is recalling certain 2025 International HV, HX, LT, and MV vehicles. The steering gear sector shaft may have been improperly heat-treated, which can cause the gear teeth to crack or fracture.

Consequence

Fractured steering gear teeth can cause a loss of steering control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy
