2025 Ford Ranger problems

Verdict · NHTSA data

Worth extra scrutiny

The 2025 Ford Ranger is a recall-heavy year with an otherwise ordinary complaint record: 13 NHTSA recall campaigns apply, yet its 47 owner complaints run below the Ranger median. The recalls matter more than the complaint count here — verify every campaign was completed before buying.

No single system dominates the record — complaints spread across engine (7), transmission (7), and brakes (6), which usually points to general build quality rather than one defect.
